		<description><![CDATA[You might think that since the top of this snowbank is dark, that it would absorb heat and speed the melting process. I think the reverse happens. Whereas sand spread lightly over a snowy sidewalk helps to melt it, sand and refused layered on top of a snowbank seems to insulate it.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[The gorge is not that long but very pretty and very rugged, especially now with the winter conditions. There is a trail to the east side of the gorge and you can walk the length of it looking down. The drop from the top of the trail to the water is a good 50 feet, so even with a protective fence, I was being extra careful.]]></description>

We walked all around the pond today and although the trail was a little slippery in places, it wasn't too muddy and there wasn't a lot of trash on the ground.]]></description>
