What Is This?
Just before I ran the last Where's Dave contest, I threw out this challenge to a friend of mine. He had pushed me for something harder after the first photo of the London Eye. So I said, fine, what's this?

Well, he finally passed the challenge on to a rather interesting network of my friends with this setup...

The hints are that it is near the Thames, and it's made out of trash.....now is it in London, or is it ANOTHER Thames, perhaps a bit closer to home? We don't know the answer to that. But it's probably the British, not the US Thames. Only HA really knows.

HA here stands for me, AKA, 'heir apparent.' It's a long story. Let's not go there now, OK?

So I'll pass this challenge on now to the wider audience as well. In the process, I'm showing a different picture to give the original participants another clue. I have told some people in both the UK and US offices that I work in about this little ruse, so there are going to be some people who know. I wonder who they are?

When It Rains, It Pours...
Tuesday turned into Wednesday, and Katherine got conjunctivitis. So she's now on eye cream and cough medicine. Alex is still on anti-biotics. Kara is feeling quite ill, with a terrible sore throat this evening. Advil and Tylenol (not at the same time, obviously). So I just spent a half hour medicating the entire household including myself (Prilosec). Yikes. It's like a hospital ward around here. It's a miracle I haven't caught anything yet. I will tell you one thing, though. I am bringing meds to London this week, just in case. Lemsip and Lucozade are one thing, Night Nurse is a pretty much Nyquil, but Paracetamol is some nasty stuff, let me tell you. I'm not taking that again.

It's Not The Diapers
...in the trash that attracted the racoon. It was an old veggie. At least, that's what I found on the stairway a few hours later. I tried repeatedly to drive it off, but it wouldn't give up. When I saw this guy poking around the trash cans behind my house I grabbed the camera and ran out the front. I switched the autofocus to full auto and checked exposure as I walked up the driveway. When I got around back, both trash cans looked fine. I walked around for a moment, confused, and then began to suspect that not all was as it seemed. A few moments later, the bandit is revealed.

Finally Settling In...
Whew. I think we finally got a handle on Katherine, but it was dicey there for awhile. We had to pull out the prednazone. That stuff is bad news, man. The last time we gave it to her, she was up all night. This time, we got it right, and she was really exhausted, so she slept last night. She woke up once tonight coughing and I had to go in and give her cough medicine. Oh yeah, and I slept on the trundle bed last night.

Tonight, though, Alex is better. Katherine should be out, and I'm about to join them. Since I finally feel back in town from the last trip, I'll share an interesting photo. When I looked more closely at this photo, I realized that the perspective is really interesting - the result of being just a few stories up above ground.

This is, in fact, Boston Harbor, by the way. The only problem here is that the ship is clearly not under any kind of sail, but yet is puttering across the harbor. Hmm. It's definately had a little work done.
