I suppose I should lead with Alex, as far as photos go, but since I'm still recovering from Christmas, let alone New
Years, I gotta show you this photo of Katherine playing with one of the big-hit presents - an art easel from Grandpa.
Oh there were many others, too. It was a very, very good birthday for our little girl. Anyway, Christmas was really
nice and laid back. We got through the present surprisingly quickly given how many of them there were. And then
had a nice roast and went to bed.
It has been unbelievably hectic around here with baby Alex in the mix. To his credit, he really only sleeps, nurses,
and ocassionaly stares around in amazement. He does, however, require frequent diaper changes, and his, um, equipment
is a bit different than we've been trained on. You learn pretty quickly to point the pistol down, shall we say.
If you don't (and I'm going to mix metaphors here, but I'm too lazy to care), you'll be treated to a water show when the cool
air hits the old firehose.
Anyway, we've all been bonding. Grandpa Owczarek has been bonding with Katherine as
well as Alex, since he pulled a lot of the Katherine watching duty during labor. Let's just say she likes to do a lot
of dress-up games now, and my Dad got sucked into one.
But little Alex is doing great! He's had one checkup which went well, and another one on Monday. Here he
is on Christmas Day.
